Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonster from Result Like others, I wanted to avoid calling out a plumber to clear badly blocked drain to septic tank. This cheaper solution worked a treat in about 30 minutes. All existing reviews helped me decide to click and collect, so all sorted on the same day. Very happy!

Easy to use, pulls itself up the drain pipe. Cleared the blocked drain in no time. Blasted through the all the toilet roll that had blocked the pipes. I’ve never bothered to submit a review before but I’ve been so impressed by the Karcher “drain rat” that I’m ‘moved’ to submit this entry. It is an astounding tool – the best purchase I’ve ever made. After 3 hours of fruitless rodding in a blocked Victorian clay pipe sewer drain I turned to Screwfix for an answer to the problem. I’d seen reviews of this Karcher attachment before but never really considered it. Well, it is worth every penny. Once attached to my Karcher pressure washer it worked its way up the sewer pipes through a near 90 degree bend from an inspection chamber. In 10 minutes it entered and broke up a bolus of unmentionable material, washing it down the pipe, then pushed onwards until all said material had been removed. It was almost fun and certainly satisfying. A great relief. I unreservedly recommend it to others. My top tip for use? Others have commented on the tightly coiled nature of the hose when first unwrapped which makes it difficult to run it up sewer pipes. Having read those helpful reviews, I unwrapped the pipe and soaked it in a bucket of quite warm water for 30 minutes before use. Then I uncoiled it – it was perfectly relaxed and straight, ready for use without kinks. A fabulous piece of equipment. I've given it 5* across the board and although it is early days to assess reliability it shows no marks of wear after first use. It's not cheap but it is astounding for what it saves in other costs and time. I haven't yet used the gutter cleaning function but then that's not what I bought it for.
